Event Medical & Safety provides professional on-site medical coverage for events, film and television productions, corporate functions, and private clients. Our mission is to deliver reliable, well-structured medical support that integrates seamlessly into your operations while prioritizing safety, professionalism, and discretion.
We specialize in non-transport medical coverage, including Advanced First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), staffed by licensed and experienced EMTs. Advanced Life Support (ALS) and ambulance services are available through approved, properly licensed partner providers when required by permit, venue, or event scope.
Our operations are conducted under the oversight of a licensed Medical Director (MD), with written treatment protocols designed to mirror applicable local EMS and county guidelines. We maintain comprehensive insurance coverage—including general liability, professional liability, and workers’ compensation—at limits that meet or exceed typical venue and regulatory requirements.
Whether supporting a live production, large-scale public event, executive engagement, or private gathering, our team coordinates efficiently with event management, production staff, venue personnel, and local emergency services. We focus on preparedness, clear communication, and measured response—ensuring medical concerns are handled professionally while minimizing disruption.

Our Management Team
Ryan Albaugh is the founder and owner of Event Medical and Safety, LLC (EMS), bringing extensive experience in emergency medical services, public safety, and large-scale operational planning. His work includes medical oversight for major public events and endurance races, as well as on-site medical coverage for television, film, and commercial productions.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ryan led the establishment of free testing sites across Southern California. A disabled U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he later completed two tours in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor supporting security operations as an explosive detection dog handler. His background also includes executive leadership roles in law enforcement and fire service, along with private security work supporting high-profile events.
Ryan’s operational background informs EMS’s disciplined, risk-focused approach to event and production medical services.
Jeff brings decades of public safety leadership and emergency response experience. He began his career in 1995 as a volunteer firefighter before serving a tour in the United States Marine Corps.
Following his military service, Jeff built a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, specializing in tactical emergency casualty care, impaired driving enforcement, gang and narcotics interdiction, and mobile field force operations. He was recognized multiple times for his ability to manage large, complex, and rapidly evolving incidents.
Jeff earned his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification in 2004 and later served as his agency’s First Aid Program Coordinator. During the height of the opioid crisis, he implemented a program that allowed police officers to receive department-sponsored EMT training and managed the agency’s Naloxone administration program.
After retiring honorably from law enforcement in 2021, Jeff relocated to Southern California and continued his service in emergency medicine, working full-time for a 911 ambulance provider serving Los Angeles County. In 2025, he joined EMS as Operations Manager, where he oversees field operations and supports the organization’s mission of delivering professional event medical coverage.
