We are Event Medical & Safety but you can call us "EMS" for short. We're located in Los Angeles, CA and focus on providing top-tier medical professionals to individuals and organizations operating engagements that require some level of medical coverage. While our customers are primarily located in Southern California we are available to staff medical personnel nationwide, regardless of where your event takes place.
Our team of EMTs, paramedics, and RNs are led by a Medical Director and are committed to providing quality and professional on-site treatment for your production or event. We offer first aid and basic life support services to anyone who is injured, and will contact local emergency medical services if a higher level of care is required. Depending on the type of injury or situation, we may also refer individuals to a local hospital or urgent care facility.
Founded in 2020 in response to the COVID pandemic, Event Medical & Safety was created by EMT Ryan Albaugh, who has made it his life's mission to give back to the community in any way possible. He hopes that by offering workplace health and safety services, he can contribute to this larger goal and ensure that everyone can receive quality and professional medical care.
In addition to founding EMS, Ryan has extensive experience in health, safety and emergency services. He brings a wealth of diverse experience from his career and has a storied history of serving his community and country.
He established free COVID testing locations in Southern California and provided medical care for major events like Spartan Race and Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. His expertise spans various medical and safety roles in high-profile TV, film, and commercial productions. A disabled US Marine Corps veteran, Ryan served two tours in Afghanistan as a bomb dog handler. His background also includes roles as a former chief of police and firefighter, as well as work in private security, including celebrity protection at Hollywood premieres.
